NEW BUILD ON PATTERSON ROAD

This charming Patterson Road home is tucked away on a quiet, narrow rural road, perched on a hillside surrounded by a peaceful avocado orchard. Our goal was to create a home that naturally blends into its environment, so we opted for a rustic, aged, converted barn-style design. The carefully selected Italian-imported tiles add a weathered charm that enhances the home’s character.

As a secondary dwelling, every square foot has been thoughtfully utilised to optimise the compact layout. The living and dining areas feature a stunning 7.5 meter exposed rafter ceiling, creating a spacious and airy atmosphere. 

The master bedroom, located on the top attic floor, opens onto a cosy landing that has been transformed into a library, offering a perfect vantage point to admire both the home’s architectural features and the surrounding scenery.

We chose custom cedar garage doors sealed with CD50 for added protection and a bagged brick exterior with a timeless cream-white finish. The home is positioned to capture sunlight throughout the day in key living areas, while Velux windows on the attic floor flood the interior with natural light and provide breathtaking views of Mount Pirongia and the nearby orchards and farmlands.
